Rhododendron aurigeranum subsp. hirsutum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Ericaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Papua New Guinea. Nama ilmiah Rhododendron aurigeranum subsp. hirsutum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Graham Charles George Argent pada tahun 2003.
