Rhododendron hirtolepidotum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan hemiepifit dari famili Ericaceae yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma pegunungan tropis di wilayah Papua barat laut (Gn. Watjetoni). Nama ilmiah Rhododendron hirtolepidotum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johannes Jacobus Smith pada tahun 1914.
